Cortlex is an IT service company founded in 2015 by developers for developers. It gives us an opportunity, as founders know what is needed for comfortable and pleasant work. What about projects? We work with a variety of domains, for example, medicine, logistics, education, E-commerce, IoT. All projects are in English (mainly Western Europe, USA), we become a full-fledged part of the customer’s distributed team: we clarify requirements, discuss architectural solutions. Project managers, as well as testers, sometimes join in some projects from our side.

- Implement new business functionalities in a microservices architecture with the use of Microprofile and Java EE.
- Supply front office web applications (written in Eclipse RAP) with data coming from various data sources.
- Contribute to the team at all levels: engineering, process improvement, technology improvement, knowledge sharing, etc.;
- Analyze and resolve software related issues (functionality, performance, interoperability, etc.);
- Communicate with customers and distributed teams;
- Participate in agile software development activities (e.g. stand-ups, planning meetings, demos, retrospectives).
Related to custom declaration set up, helps logistics companies to transfer products from point A to point B with the most effective crossing like through countries that have least amount of taxes on moving their products and help to create declarations of goods for each border crossing (java ee, oracle, frontend custom eclipse plagins) product is adapting to EU laws of border crossing.
Stack:
Backend: JPA (Open Jpa), Oracle DB, MapStruct, Liquibase, Java 8+, Java EE , Junit, Cucumber.
Front end: Eclipse RCP and Java.
- 3+ years of commercial development experience;
- Hands-on experience with Java EE 7 or Microprofile;
- Hands-on experience with any SQL solution, ideally Oracle DB;
- Hands-on experience with Eclipse RAP (nice to have);
- Upper-Intermediate English level.
